Millie (F) - Elsternwick, VIC
Millie Rose lives in Melbourne's bayside, a 20 minute walk to the beach and expansive parks (many areas off leash) which she loves including chasing the shore break, digging in the sand and playing with other puppies and a favourite older Border Collie. Other exciting times have been following the farm kelpies while herding sheep, exploring bush tracks and mountain streams and walking the ocean beach chewing kelp. Sitting secure on the back seat of the car brings a big smile to Millie; it means a journey to all these exotic places. At home after dark an exciting word is 'possum' which sends Millie racing around to every tree with a jump. The not so exciting call of 'bed' brings her into the laundry to sleep on a bed of carpet laid with blankets and jumpers to snuggle into. Millie is a very affectionate pup to everyone she meets and loves to do the morning rounds to each bedroom. She trys out her innate herding skills on the cat and sometimes they kiss. She is well toilet trained, going under the same tree every morning and is good with around the house commands (especially with a treat), but her report card reads "more attention needed in public". Millie loves rice and vegetables in her diet with an egg, other favourites are raw chicken wings and meaty chuck bones. Her special toy is the hoola-hoop which rattles as she throws, jumps, chews and runs with it around the yard. A soft toy penguin lasted a long time, but she moved on to chasing real pigeons.
